SHE ADDS LEMON AND CHIA SEEDS…

So fun fact about Katheen today! She comes to the studio with her computer AND a mason jar full of water, lemon, and chia seeds. Yep, you heard right. Today she is telling us why….:)

Water is life-giving. Nourishing. We need it to survive. Over half of our bodies are water – which sounds like craziness. I’m not sure why we don’t melt in the rain.

One of my favorite ways to drink water these days is with a little lemon and chia seeds (okay, a LOT of chia seeds). The chia seeds swell with the water like mini tapioca balls and are so fun to drink. If you like bubble tea, you will love this. I find it super entertaining (hey, it’s the small things, right?) and it is filling so it keeps me from mindlessly snacking all afternoon at the studio.

The lemon adds a nice flavor and while I’ve drank chia seeds without lemon, I can’t say it’s the same. Definitely add the lemon.

Warning: Chia seeds are crazy little guys and like to get stuck in your teeth and show up random places. Sometimes I think they hop out of the water and run around. But don’t let this stop you from making friends with them. The nutritional value is worth it.
