Thursday night several of our team traveled to Soho, NYC for an event at Maman, a gorgeous little bakery and cafe. The event was hosted by the generous Hatchery team featuring their makers located in NYC. We had the joy of meeting a roomful of individuals that are creating something they believe in and making a business of it. As I met each of the makers and heard their stories, I heard phrases such as “It’s been a crazy year” and “Hustle, lot of hustle” and “I saw a need and set out to fill it” and “It is hard work, I am the producer, janitor, and finance guy”. It was laughter, determination, grit, pride, life and business and all mixed together. Messy at times….but so good.

Reminds me of this quote: “Being an entrepreneur is neither a part time or a full time job; it is a lifestyle.”

If you are ever in NYC, you must visit the Maman. It is beautiful.
