The first time we hosted our annual Photography 101 workshop, it was a cold January night and I was so nervous. Fifty people were coming and I never in my life spoke in front of that many people much less taught a class. We served cranberry spritzers in mason jars and that night I fell in love with teaching. Whether I am the teacher or the student, teaching remains something I believe deeply in. Photography 101 skills is one of my absolute favorite things to teach. These simple photography techniques make such a huge impact on when implemented and I love that.

Today we all are photographers and photos are interwoven in every single day. Photos communicate and document. Good photos have always been powerful. But in today’s world, they are essential to life and business.

Photos document, communicate, create, showcase, and talk. They tell stories within a glance.
