Her wedding day began at mother’s house. Brothers looking good in ties and dress shirts waited on the font yard. The smell of grilled cheese drifted through the air as mother prepared a snack for hungry family members. The dress was hung carefully in the living room next to the hanging baskets. The flower bouquets being admired by all waited on the kitchen table. Bridesmaids ran up and down the steps preparing for the day. Family and friends gathered down the road at the family’s campground. Big pines trees in the front yard stood silently. And finally, a long white limo drove down the winding rural road and pulled up to the house. It was time to go.
Laura’s and Derek’s day took place among tall pines at the foot of a mountain. The location was a beautiful campground owned by Laura’s family. Laura and Derek spent quite a few weekends preparing the campground for the big day. Flower beds were trimmed and mulched, lights strung up, hand-painted signs were hung from trees, and flowers potted and placed at the ceremony alter.
Thank-you Jeremy from Jeremy Bischoff photography and Mel from Mel Koehler Photography for working with me and for being so awesome!

Laura’s necklace and shoes…
Laura was a gorgeous bride. And so genuinely kind and sweet.
Laura leaving her mother’s house, ready to start the day…
All the ties on the groomsmen and ushers were unique. The flowers on the boutonniere were perfect. These two happen to be Laura’s brothers as they waited on the front yard. =)
Looking good, Derek!
Love this candid shot by Jeremy.
Reiley was so suave and handsome in his gray suit and yellow chucks! His job was to carry the rings.
Derek and Laura made sure the camp tractor was available for photos!
As we began the bridal party photos, dark clouds rolled in. So we worked quickly! The rain started falling as we were photographing Laura and Derek. Yup, that is rain drops you see on this photo. Laura and Derek were willing to smile in the rain as we wrapped up their photos!
Laura is a interior designer and she did such a good job combining sophisticated details with the rugged setting. Art was hung all around the room, handmade potted plants were on the tables, and lights were strung up.
And the rings! =)
