Summer time is my favorite. I love that the kids (that still feels strange to me…it was always “the boys” until Sailor came along) can sleep in and there is no stiff family schedule we need to keep. They started school this week! Summer goes so fast. This year we decided to do a stay-cation. I always thought that was so cheesy….until I thought about packing up and traveling with a family a six, one of them being a 7 month old. Then all of a sudden a stay-cation sounded wonderful. Here are a few shots…from our mini summer vacation and recent day to day family life. I marvel at the beauty of family. When family is safe, caring, and life giving…it is….it is just good.

The boys have been asking for the past year to visit an amusement park. They loved it. Me? I am not sure when it happened but I learned that I don’t enjoy roller coasters anymore! Oh man, my three old is braver than me.

Local produce is a highlight of summer.
