Today, folks…I am going to introduce to you us. These girls! What a honor it is for me to introduce these fine gals. What I love, love about working together…is we are all different. See life a little different. Have different perspectives, loves, things that make us laugh and feel happy, preferences, strengths, and stories to share. THAT is the beauty of a team…and I am feel so honored to share my life with these fine gals.

I asked Margo, who has such a gift with words, to write a little about the team….from her perspective…

WELCOME TO OUR TEAM..

Coffee sputters out of the Keurig and brightly colored pillows decorate the couch waiting for the first client. Michael Buble is serenading us through the speakers and senior photos in soft summer hues are flashing across the screen.

There’s laughter and beauty and rich stories etched into the hardwood floors that ache gently as you step on them. It’s a place where team meetings inform us of good reads, Pinterest inspiration boards and vegetables for your hair and a group of creative women share life together in celebration of today.

My little cousin refers to my brother-in-law as “Dreamboat” and I rather like it. I’m growing fond of the term. I think everyone should get to feel dreamy and larger than life.
That’s sort of how I feel about this place. This place is a dreamboat on land.  Gleamy and dreamy with divine touches and women who work together to help people feel larger than life.

They use their hands to tie knots and bows and press a shutter button and pencil patterns in soft shades and sort through clothing until someone finds something that looks like who they want to be today.

Life is shown here in little plants hanging from the windows and clients excited for where their lives are headed. You see it on their faces and it’s contagious. The glow that’s symptomatic of loving life to the full. I’m just glad to catch it. I’m glad to be reminded by this place and these people that life is worth documenting.

For all of the places that we’ve been and all of the places we have yet to go, It’s really quite a beautiful thing that we got to meet up in this place.
With gold molded ceilings and the sun kissing the front windows, we get to be here capturing breathtaking views of life and sharing them with the world.

This is us…come on inside…

MARGO…our summer intern. Dang it, we are going to miss her when she heads back to Tennessee for college majoring in public relations and music business. She is an artist and a writer and I love, love her take on life. Margo does lots of designing and so many other tasks that are so super helpful around here.

ANDREA…our associate photographer who has an eye for light and a touch for creating photos that shine. She is a mommy of two adorable daughters and married to a handsome doctor. Andrea has a knack for making others laugh and feel good about who they are.

That’s me. And my coffee. Love a little green.

“Live your art”…my quote for the year. Art is so much for than photography, painting, writing….it is a way of life. And that is what I am seeking after.

ANNA…all the way from Kentucky this girl came and saved my life. Editing makes her happy and she does it with excellence. Her and her husband are anticipating the arrival of their first child in November!! She loves photography, things done well, and a good conversation.

KATHLEEN? She’s got is covered. Anything…everything. Kathleen is our studio manager. Put it in her hands and it is taken care. Whew, she has saved me two million headaches by taking care of so many details that I am so happy I do not have to do. She is married to man she adores, loves to read, run, and is going to school for nutrition.

GRACE is our stylist and styling all things is what she does with finesse. Grace styles our senior sessions, events, parties, and brings a creative edge to all things. She has a knack for creating beauty out of old… finding furniture along the road, thrift shop finds, branches as center pieces…add a little paint, a little creativity, a little sparkle…and wham, it is awesome. Grace is married and has an adorable puppy named Copper!

JUSTINE is our 2013 intern and she is all about weddings here! She assists me on many weddings and then runs with the wedding workflow.  Originally from Minnesota, she found a man from Pa and settled down here. She still loves to visit her family and travel…and we included the suit case to represent that. She is wonderful to have around and I love who she is.

KAREN is Grace’s intern…her and Grace think alike and the team they make is beautiful. Karen always brings a splash of color into the studio with her great outfits! Karen was an English teacher for nine years. Karen is married to her husband, Kyle and mommy of her daughter Elsa.

Inspired and designed by Grace, this is our team inspiration board! We love coming up with team posts…sharing a little about us and who we are. This is where these posts start…along with all things, anything that inspires us.
