It is the season for newborn babes around here. ANNA‘S little Max arrived the end of November. What a beautiful little man and what a beautiful mama.

Anna, Dema, and little Max…

1O THINGS ANNA LOVES ABOUT HER MAX….

1. The way his smile lights up his whole face – and mine.

2. The softness he has brought to my heart – I’m moved to tears so easily now (in a good way).

3. His little hand grasping my finger so tightly as he nurses.

4. Feeling his chest heave with heavy breaths as he falls asleep on my chest completely content and safe.

5. The sound of his cooing – nothing sweeter to my ears.

6. Cheering him on as he learns new things. This week he rolled over, started noticing some of his toys and has slept through the night a couple of times (my personal favorite). I never know what the next week will bring.

7. His endless fascination with the lights on the Christmas tree. I know he doesn’t understand what it is yet, but it does fill my heart with excitement for the Christmases to come.

8. His little heartbeat that I can feel thumping when I slow down and just hold him close – a reminder of the beauty and wonder of this life that God created and allowed me to bring into the world.

9. Reuniting with him in the morning after a full (or half) night of sleep. I’m thankful for the rest but I sure do miss him.

10. He is my song – I sing terribly off key and have always been embarrassed about it but he doesn’t care at all. He loves to hear his mommy sing and I love to make up songs just for him so I can tell him how much I love him.
