What exactly is the mentor program? The purpose is simple… by coaching and collaborating, we hope to enable others to reach and develop their goals and create a plan for long-term success. Topics include discovering strengths, developing your philosophy, refining your brand, prioritizing your next steps, marketing your work, managing workflow, conquering fear, maintaining authenticity, committing to personal development, and taking action. Through out the whole process, you will be building timeline. Yep, we will ask you OVER AND OVER, are you keeping your timeline up to date? Did you add this step into your timeline? Did you get that task out of your brain and into your timeline? At the end of the process, our goal is that you will have a well prepared timeline and plan taking you where you want to go and the tools needed to get there.

I am inspired in so many new ways since I started my mentorship with the CHAR team. It’s amazing how knowledge can fuel inspiration! Light inspires me. Fashion inspires me. Relationships inspire me. All in ways I never thought it would.

The CHAR team has given me that boost of confidence I needed to take my business to the next level. All of the things that they have taught me have been huge steps pointing me in the right direction. One of the most valuable things they have given me is the courage to step it up as a photographer. I am excited to be able to know so much more about how run a successful business.

I cannot begin to explain how I have changed since entering the mentor program. My whole mind-set about running a business is so different than I have ever expected, all in good ways. There is so much to think about when you have your own business. I was only thinking about being a photographer. I am now focusing more on my client’s needs and how to make them more satisfied with their experience and not just with their photographs.

I was given so many tools/ ideas during my mentorship, I’m so excited to work them into my business model in the future! I have learned that light is such an important tool and it will make or break the quality of any photograph. Being intentional about where I want to be, making a workflow that works with me instead of against me, and setting aside time to be able to concentrate on ways to make my business better and better…

The best part of my mentorship was feeling like a part of the team. I felt like I could ask any question, and it wasn’t meaningless. Lots of ideas were shared, discussed and exchanged throughout my time at the studio. I never felt unwelcome or rushed. I always had a sense that my ideas, goals and plans for my future and the future of my business really mattered to Char and her team.
