These gals! Grateful for each and everyone that God has brought into my life. Taking an evening to sit and be together. Anna hosted and, yes, she made it beautiful. Birthday bash with the Char co team. We talked a bit about our goals for the coming year. Personal goals. Our goals varied from adjusting to two children, finishing school, finding her own home, moving to New Zealand, starting a blog, finding time for things that bring happiness, creating balance, shooting images that bring creative satisfaction, living with a sense of adventure, being intentional about relationships, meeting new people, hosting more. As women, our lives are integrated with many things. Being a woman. It means so many different things to each of us. It fascinates me. I think we need to feel fulfilled in many areas to feel complete. We are not simple, black and white. We are strong and soft. Fiercely determined and ultimately flexible. Subtle and bold. We can move mountains while feeling deep satisfaction with the most simple of things. Sometimes I think we don’t give ourselves permission to live fully…to feel completely. To live with our whole heart. We think we shouldn’t feel that way, or that makes me weak, or I should better have my act together, or that person doesn’t seem to struggle with this. Being a woman is not always neat and pretty. But more than ever, I think there is incredible strength and beauty even in all this integrated, interwoven, somewhat complicated take on life.

Being a woman. We need each other. To do this thing called life and to do it well.
