Happy weekend all! Hope you all are having a really good week so far and ready for a summer weekend. My weekend will be spent with family and friends, working in the yard, and planning for upcoming summer CHAR co details. I love planning and looking forward. When I find time for that in my weekend, I get as excited about that as I do about going out for dinner! Riley and Adler just finished school, so we will be working on the family summer schedule. We create a daily schedule along with planning special getaways and day trips. Riley has my ‘let’s plan’ genes. He loves to dream up summer activities, define the details, make the schedule, and write things on our family calendar. When we take the time to do this, his eyes sparkle and shine. I hope to fit in strawberry picking this weekend also!
Did you catch our first STYLED feature on Monday? We are excited about this series and are looking forward to sharing other team member’s features in the upcoming months. Also Rebecca Gallup’s story! Her words and approach to life is beautiful. We have a giveaway coming Monday alongside Rebecca’s feature, be watching for that.
We have such an amazing intern team this year and I couldn’t be more grateful for the talents and creative ideas they bring to our team. This past week, with Emily as project manager, the intern teamed up on a window display project and the progress is looking lovely. This is Bethany. She is valued part of our intern team. Let me tell you, she is so talented and all she does is done with excellence. Bethany’s creative eye is top notch and her heart is made of gold. I am excited about the projects she is taking on with CHAR co.
Enjoy our favorite links we are loving from around the web!
Char: Little railroad stripe overalls that my daughter will run around in this summer.
Grace: A lavender farm would be a great spot for a romantic date night this summer!
Andrea: Can my little family make it work in a small apartment? THESE tenants survived in a 242-square-foot apartment!
Kathleen: This soothes my soul.
Karen: Just finished Neil Postman’s book. Crazy this was written over 20 years ago! Wonder what he’d have to say about our techno-frenzied world today.
Emily: The cake I made for our Closet Sale this past weekend (topped with mousse).
