Hey friends, I hope your Friday is off to a great start. It is snowing here….one last breath of winter. We are anticipating spring. Although I will admit, I never mind the winter slow season. The vision casting and prep for a new year is always a favorite of mine. We are in the middle of preparing the launch of Story. The process has been a labor of love and has made our winter season quite busy. Story has been churning in my heart for a long time and it is rewarding to see it come to life. As all things, I hold it loosely. Projects and plans always evolve and usually end up looking different than the original vision. I believe it is important that the heart and mission remain steady and true, but the exterior and tangible offerings will change as we grow and shift with the ever changing world. A business’s ability to be quick on their feet and aware of the moving world is more important than ever. Getting too comfortable turns into lack of passion and growth. Although I will admit, growth and forward motion must be balanced. Too much hustle for too long turns into burnout. That good old fashioned word ‘balance’ never loses relevancy.

This month we are hustling with several photo shoots, a film in the works, building out the Story process, and defining an online course. Also this month our 2016 intern team started. Once again, so grateful for the talent, skills, and investment our intern team brings. They truly are such a core part of Char co. We are excited to collaborate with them this year and know we will be better as a company for the strength they bring. We are redefining the purpose of this blog space and truly hope this space will serve our fellow creators, makers, and business owners. We are taking a break from the journal and will get started in the near future with our 2016 schedule.
