Today I am thankful for people. The people in my life. People that give, invest, and encourage. People that make me cry and misunderstood me. People that forgive and hug. People that support. And make me feel big and sometimes small. Little ones that give me sticky kisses. Older and wiser that counsel. Friends that share wine and french fries and the messiness of life. People are never clean and neat. Or predictable. People see the world in two million colors other than I do. People are complicated. But always beautiful. People make my world rich. And I wouldn’t trade all that comes with people for anything in the world. Nothing is as fulfilling as doing life with people.

We may say, business is business. But it never is. It’s not just statistics, strategies, systems, and bottom lines. Business is people. Team members, customers, and business owners….we are all people with beliefs, emotions, pains, and dreams. Business is loving, understanding, serving, and helping people. It’s rarely perfectly organized and predictable. I stumbled into business because I fell in love with photography. But over the years, I have fallen in love with business because business is people.
