We give and love and watch out for others every day of the year. Our tasks may appear behind the scenes but the impact and influence we have is nothing of the sort. While making dinner, putting on bandaids, driving to soccer practice, picking up groceries, and doing homework duty; we are shaping and influencing our families, culture, community, and world. It’s called motherhood. We are a powerful force and not one to mess with. Our mama bear will come out in a flash. We will move mountains if needed. We will sacrifice everything and go to the ends of the earth for our babies. Motherhood changes us, grows us, breaks our heart, drives us crazy, and makes our soul burst with pride. We fall so deeply in love with our ‘littles’ we wonder in amazement at the overwhelming depth of love we feel.

Mothers truly are a mighty force. Let’s celebrate that. It’s beautiful. Tell your family breakfast in bed, strong coffee, and an hour or two of quiet is in order.

Located in Vermont, Local farmers have been selling their maple syrup to the Marvin family of Butternut Mountain Farm for forty years. Their team oversees maple syrup’s transformative journey from local trees to maple syrup. Sweet and golden, maple syrup is delicious on pancakes, oatmeal, vegetables, and even in your morning coffee. The maple sugar is also so delicious and prized for it’s robust maple flavor  – sprinkle over cereal or on toast, use it in your favorite baking recipes, or as the base of a rub for chicken or pork.

One friends from the HATCHERY team makes celebrating special days easy with their ingredients, all handcrafted by independent makers that are passionate about their product. Better Off Spread Cinnamon White Chocolate Peanut Butter made a delicious topping for pancakes. It would be incredible on toast too! Plenty of fresh-crushed peanut taste, white chocolate, cinnamon, and sea salt create a flavor that you will just have to try. For something a little lighter, try the Blackberry Bay Leaf Jam. Straight from blackberries and enhanced by the addition of lemon juice, organic sugar, and bay leaves.  It was delicious on pancakes and also would make a great accompaniment to cheese. We used Whole Spice Granulated Honey in the pancakes for a little added sweetness. The grains practically melt in your mouth and would be amazing in cold-brewed coffee or sprinkled on anything that needs a little bit of honey sweetness. Check out Hatchery’s MARKETPLACE to see their many incredible products.
