She is my little sister and today I get to share her wedding day! Her name is Amber and like her name, she shines from inside out. I watched her lose her mother at the tender age of twelve, find her way through the deep grief, navigate those rocky teen years, work hard and earn her degree in social work, and fall in love. In all that her shine grew deeper. She loves and gives so generously to those around her. Not that anybody was listening, but as the older protective sister I had a tough criteria for her man to meet. :) Joel meets them all above and beyond and I couldn’t be more happy for these two. They will tackle and do the roller coaster called ‘life’ well.

Next to a lake, under the stars, lots heartfelt words of love to their friends and family; the day was so ‘Amber and Joel’. It truly was a family effort and we all worked together moving tables, stringing up lights, setting up the dance floor, and preparing the tablescapes. Our brother Daryl foraged for moss and made the flowers arrangements for the reception tables. The wooden dance floor was built by our sister Crystal and her husband for their wedding and it was perfect to use again on this day. Family made the pies served at the reception. We all thanked God for a week of perfect weather.
