We recently had our first Master of Their Craft Workshop. It was The Art of Reclaimed Woodworking featuring Anthony from Keystone Vintage Lumber and Jeremy from Tomato Pie Cafe. Anthony showed pictures and shared about the process of tearing down barns and turning the old wood into beautiful pieces of art. Jeremy shared about several projects he has created from reclaimed wood (such as a gorgeous dining room table) and what the process looked like for him. With the wood cut, leather straps prepared, screws and nails ready to go…alongside lots of noise and help from Anthony and Jeremy, everybody created their own wooden organizer.
These workshops are a new endeavor for us and it was a really fun first one! The heart behind these workshops is simple:
Featuring and collaborating with other like-minded souls, we are looking to offer hands-on projects and newfound skills to creatively refresh and inspire. At these workshops, you’ll get the opportunity to learn and refine talents that will enrich every day life, perhaps receive a useful skill for your creative business, and form new friendships along the way. The topics will range from floral design to the art of hospitality to discovering your personal style, and more. The abilities developed, the inspiration received, and the community found make these workshops a special time.
Thanks to everybody that came out for for this night! A big thanks to Karen for organizing these workshops.
