Good morning, friends! Today we are so proud to share our next Masters of Their Craft feature with you. It involves Virginia’s rolling hills, cows, a beautiful bed and breakfast, and a dedicated farmer.  Team member Karen is the vision, hands, and writer behind these special posts and will take it from here…

Years ago, I stayed at Smithfield Farm B&B with my mother for a weekend getaway, and as soon as we pulled into the long, unpaved lane lined with apple trees, I knew something special happened here. It was so lovely a place that I found myself wishing for others to see and experience its fairy tale aura. Ruth, the owner, narrated the farm’s history with us over blueberry french toast and eggs. She proudly spoke of her son who was in the midst of reviving the family farm. Years later, little did I know that he would succeed, and little did I know that I would share Smith Meadows with you.
